In February of 2018 we stayed at the enormous Wildhorse Lodge! Y'all, this cabin is so amazing. When you are sitting in the living room you feel like you are actually sitting in the middle of the forest. It is so cool! The Wildhorse Lodge is a REAL timber frame cabin and is over 5,000 square feet and three floors. You have plenty of room to visit with family and friends and several kids. If you hike up just a tad in the backyard you can see this gorgeous view of rolling hills. For more information and to book the Wildhorse Lodge visit Beavers Bend Creative Escape. You can also find them on Faebook and Instagram. During this visit I schedule a fly fishing lesson with the amazing Morgan. Morgan and her husband Trey Prater both teach fly fishing at the Beavers Bend Fly Shop. This has been on my wish list for a long time. We had to get up early and it was very cold but it was worth it! Fly fishing is not easy but we both caught a fish and had a great time. I only fell in once. Ummm...yes, it was cold! To schedule a fly fishing lesson contact the Beavers Bend Fly Shop located in the Beavers Bend State Park. Thank you Morgan for all of your kindness and patience. Sweet Morgan left her awesome selfie for us on her phone! :) WE DID IT!! After we could not wait to eat at the Rolling Fork Takery. One of our favorites in Hochatown. This is the view from inside the house from just one of several decks. I told you this cabin is HUGE! Look at the view? Literally in the middle of the forest. Makes my heart happy!
Until next time Hochatown....
